About Us

The principal of the school Denise Moore gained her teaching qualifications with British Theatre Dance Association and is now an examiner. Denise is also an experienced adjudicator.  Denise loves all genres of dance, but her passion is teaching tap.

Our teaching team include Kelly, who has been part of the school for over 20 years, and loves to teach lyrical, modern, and contemporary. Julie, who has a passion for teaching ballet, and contemporary  and is also training to be a BTDA examiner.  Our Assistant teachers are Raneka and Erin, who have been with the school from the tender age of 3 and are now a valued part of our team.  Mara completes the team and is an expert ballet teacher.

The school prides itself in producing a high standard of work in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.

Students are encouraged to develop at their own pace which helps to make them feel at ease and confident, learning a new skill whilst having lots of fun, and making lots of new friends.

We offer classes in:

*Tap   *Ballet   *Modern Jazz   *Acrobatics   *Jazz   *Lyrical  *Musical Theatre  *Contemporary  *Acrobatic Arts

We regularly hold examination sessions where students can gain accredited British Theatre Dance Association awards and qualifications. There are also competition classes for those students that have been invited to take part in solos, duets and trios at festivals in our local area.

TTSD achieves excellent results in both examination work and competition work. Many pupils have progressed on to Performing Arts Colleges, Theatre Schools or have qualified as teachers themselves with the British Theatre Dance Association.
